9. Kidney Cancer

Kidney cancer is a disease that begins in the kidney. Renal cell carcinoma, or RCC, is the most common form of kidney cancer in adults. It typically begins in the renal tubules, which are tiny tubes in the kidney. RCC often stays in the kidney, but sometimes it can spread to other areas of the body, most often the lungs, bones, or brain.

Signs include blood in your urine; a lump on one side of your lower back; pain in one side of your lower back that isn’t related to an injury; a low appetite; feeling tired all the time; a fever that doesn’t go away; losing weight without trying; and anemia (a low level of red blood cells, which your doctor would confirm with a blood test).
