4. Dry yourself very well after every shower

Don’t forget to thoroughly dry yourself after getting out of the shower, paying special attention to any areas where you typically sweat a lot. It’s more difficult for germs that produce odor to grow on skin that is completely dry. Before leaving your bathroom, make sure to allow at least 2 minutes extra to check if your skin is dry.

5. Drink plenty of water

Another effective remedy against body odor is the water you drink throughout the day. Even if this may seem a bit weird, we can assure you it’s not! Because water is an excellent solvent, it helps clean out bacteria and pathogens that might cause body odor as well as remove toxins from your body.

Moreover, water is also the best neutralizer for stopping the growth of bacteria in your intestines. If you have trouble liking its plain taste, you can always combine it with your favorite choice of fruit. I usually add slices of lemon and orange, and during the summer, a couple of cucumber slices. I let it infuse overnight so I could drink it first thing in the morning. With such a delightful taste, you won’t have trouble drinking the right amount of water per day; in fact, you might end up drinking even more!
