10. Spider Plant

A classic air-purifying indoor plant, the spider plant comes with so many benefits that it’s hard to imagine any house not having one of these striped-leaved beauties tucked away somewhere. Not only are spider plants easy-to-grow favorites, but they are also powerful at eliminating airborne pollutants that get into our lungs and affect the respiratory system.

Water regularly through the spring and summer growing period and occasionally during the fall and winter. Plant in hanging planters or place in pots or containers on a high shelf. Unlike many other houseplants, these ones are also non-toxic for pets.
