#6 Contaminated Talc

You wouldn’t think that there could be asbestos in skincare products; however, we have all been shocked to know that there is a possibility that it could be in some skincare products in the form of contaminated talc. Talc, besides its normal form as a powder, has also been used extensively in some makeup products, such as contour powders, blushes, bronzers, and even eye shadows.

However, while talc and asbestos are different products, the one that is supposed to be safe is also known to be at risk of being contaminated with asbestos. They are both natural, yet since they are coming from similar sources, the chances of talc being contaminated with asbestos are very high.

The reason they are so dangerous is that asbestos is a known carcinogen and has been linked to a lot of health issues. This is why you should never buy products from brands you do not know or trust, as you cannot know if they use tested or untested ingredients, which could in turn put you at great health risk!
