So many studies have tried to evaluate the importance of having breakfast on health. Even so, after a large review of studies that were published in 2019 in the Journal of Nutrition, it has been concluded that folks who skip breakfast have a greater risk of getting diabetes than those who eat their eggs in the morning.

It seems that the secret doesn’t stand in the magic of the meal itself, but in the fact that eating breakfast helps keep a lower body mass index (BMI). That’s mainly because skipping breakfast is the number one reason why you tend to overeat throughout the day, as Melinda Maryniuk, a well-known dietitian and owner of Diabetes and Nutrition Consultants in Boston, explained.
