Irritable bowel syndrome is another illness that usually gets the wrong diagnosis from doctors. This is mostly because there are no specific tests that can prove their existence. IBS can affect your intestines pretty badly and cause some unbearable abdominal pain. People who have this disease often get the wrong diagnosis, mostly because the symptoms are so generic and are often confused with other illnesses.
To be diagnosed with IBS, a patient must have had symptoms for at least three months before being visited for a thorough examination and at least three days of discomfort each month for the previous three months.
