6. Hypothyroidism
Also known as underactive thyroid, this particular disease is usually misdiagnosed, mostly because the symptoms are usually subtle and the patients can’t tell if there’s something wrong with them. For those who don’t know, hypothyroidism is an illness caused by the thyroid gland. This occurs when the thyroid gland does not generate enough of the hormones needed to control mood, energy, and weight.
Since this particular illness happens to women over 60 years old, it’s easier to “blame” it on the age that contributes to getting out of shape.
7. Cancer
Cancer is one of the worst diseases of all time, mostly because it isn’t properly diagnosed. And the most common ones are breast cancer, sarcoma, melanoma, and lymphoma. Besides the fact that some of them don’t have any outright symptoms, several other circumstances, such as a patient’s medical history being incomplete or not enough time is provided during a regular checkup to adequately screen the patient for symptoms of cancer, might result in a mistake.
