Top 10 Foods Suitable For Diabetics

8. Nuts

Walnuts are one of the best foods that help you fight heart disease, but they are also good for lowering blood sugar levels. Nuts are low in carbs and very high in protein, which makes them a perfect addition to your diet. I personally love combining them with yogurt or consuming them as a snack.

Just make sure you pay attention to the serving size. A 1/4-cup portion contains more than 150 calories.

9. Eggs

Yummy! Another great food that I love to have, especially for breakfast, is eggs. They are a great source of healthy fats that are crucial in controlling diabetes. Make sure when you include eggs in your diet that you don’t forget about the yolk because it’s the main source of nutrients!

They are a perfect addition to a salad (especially one with tuna) or as a side dish with other dairy products.
