Make sure your veggies stay dry!
One of the things that will help you keep veggies fresh is to make sure that they are dry! The way in which you store them impacts how fast they spoil, and making sure you are keeping them in proper terms is going to make a huge difference between having fresh produce and getting all their nutrient content and having to deal with decaying produce soon after you purchase it!
Humidity is good for vegetables, but too much of it can promote too much moisture and attract more bacteria, which in turn will make them rot faster. The best place for most of your veggies is in the crisper drawer or the vegetable drawer in your fridge, with the exception of tomatoes and root vegetables. Those fare well at room temperature in a cool place like your pantry.
Another good thing to keep in mind if you want to keep veggies fresh longer is to never pre-wash them. Store your produce as it came, and only wash it when you are ready to use it. This will ensure that you do not add too much moisture or promote bacterial growth, which leads to spoilage!
