What is Sleep Deprivation?
Suffering from any of these disorders, or just from insomnia, will end up causing you to develop sleep deprivation. Compared to what many American adults think, it is a very serious condition that can affect all the aspects that make up your quality of life, and it can even lead to serious mental and physical health issues.
Some of those health issues manifest as an overall weakened immune system, decreased libido, and memory issues that can end up affecting you long-term, weight gain, heart diseases, other cardiovascular conditions, and many others!
A healthy adult requires 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night, but approximately 32.5 percent of all American adults report getting less than 7 every night! Despite knowing that they have problems sleeping, most of them don’t end up seeking help or identifying the reason for which they cannot sleep until it ends up affecting them.
