Restless legs syndrome (RLS)
Yes, you read that right. This syndrome is way more common than most of us think, and it is actually a sleep disorder that causes your legs (or sometimes even your arms) to move at night uncontrollably. This can cause your quality of sleep to be very poor or even cause discomfort to any people who may be sleeping with you, who in turn will wake you up, disrupting your sleep schedule.
This disorder manifests as the urge to move your limbs when you lie down or are resting, and most people aren’t even aware they do it. Others report that when they do it, it is accompanied by some aching, tingling, creeping, or uncomfortable sensations. If you think you suffer from this, the good thing is that there are a lot of ways to help relieve and manage symptoms, even some methods that you can use at home.
