Exercise…but not too much!
Experts say that as a healthy anti-aging habit, you should run and cycle for an average of 30 minutes daily. They also recommend adding a bit of strength training to your routine because it’s essential to keep your muscles active.
But while cardio and weight lifting are both important, doctors caution against OVER-training. The evidence for incredible levels of exercise is relatively weak. In fact, if anything, it may even slightly reduce your lifespan.
There certainly seems to be a plateau in terms of benefits, around 30 minutes a day on average. It’s also an essential anti-aging habit to simply avoid being sedentary.
If you spend all day sitting around, keep your muscles a little more active by moving for five minutes every hour or so. If you don’t ever do any exercise at all, even going for a 10-minute walk each day is going to improve your health dramatically.
