5. Injury
Last but not least, a toothache is caused by dental injuries when a tooth is broken or, even worse, knocked out! And when this happens, make sure you go to your dentist as soon as possible (on that day!). In case your tooth breaks and it has sharp edges, until you go to the doctor, place chewing gum over the edges so they won’t cut your cheeks or your tongue.
If your tooth falls out, try to put it back into the socket and bite a piece of gauze until it’s well-placed. In case you’re not able to put it back on your own, until the dentist appointment put in a glass of saliva and whole milk combined. By doing this, the tooth will be safe and sanitized.
