An estimated 33% of persons 65 and over are thought to have diabetes, a chronic condition that is frequent in this age group. 

However, due to some of the symptoms being similar to those of other less severe medical issues, many go untreated. The disease worsens if neglected and can lead to a variety of health problems. 

Even while diabetes is dangerous at any age, older persons with the disease have particular difficulties. This population is more likely to experience diabetes-related problems such as hypoglycemia, cardiovascular disease, and renal failure. 

In order to ensure that they receive the care they require, seniors should be on the lookout for frequent diabetes symptoms.
