Small bumps around the eyes
Be careful, as small yellow bumps around your eyes and nose are also known as xanthelasma, and they’re basically made out of cholesterol deposits. In some cases, it’s a sign that you might have higher cholesterol levels. But for the other half of people, that’s not really the case. If you notice these pumps, make sure you check your cholesterol levels.
Rashes
There are many reasons why your skin could break out in a rash. Some of the most common rashes might include contact dermatitis, a reaction that you could get after you touch something that you’re allergic to or that’s rich in chemicals.
Generally, contact dermatitis can be easily treated with topical therapy, as long as you make sure not to touch the substance that harmed you in the first place. In other circumstances, especially if the rash proves to be harder to treat than expected, it might indicate changes in overall health. Or, the rashes might appear as a symptom of skin diseases that might negatively impact your overall health.
For instance, having psoriasis increases the risk of suffering from heart disease and other similar conditions. Naturally, there are various types of rashes, from the target-shaped rash representative of Lyme disease to the butterfly rash that can appear across the face, which is typical for lupus.
But, as a general rule, if a rash doesn’t respond to treatment and if it proves to affect more than your skin, such as joint pain or even a fever, then it might be a sign to check yourself.
