5. Use herbs and spices
One of the best eating tips is to spice up your meals as much as possible. As we age, we find that our sense of taste decreases, and we can no longer taste the flavor of our favorite foods. Instead of using just salt and pepper, which are the most basic spices, try out some chili flakes if you like spicy food, or some turmeric, which is good combined with chicken breast.
Besides giving your foods an amazing color, herbs and spices have a lot of healthy benefits too. Turmeric, for example, fights inflammation, basil boosts the immune system, and cayenne pepper suppresses appetite.
