#1 A Mole’s Form Is Asymmetrical

To put it another way, one mole’s half is not the same shape as the other. Check for moles that are lopsided, uneven, or irregularly shaped. You can try drawing an imaginary line down the middle of a mole to find ones where one side does not match the other. 

Normal moles are symmetrical, usually round, and clearly defined. Both sides would be identical in terms of pigment, thickness, and shape if a line was drawn down the middle of the mole. 

Get a professional opinion as soon as you can if you discover any asymmetrical moles, especially if they keep changing.

Keep in mind that when recognizing skin cancer, medical professionals check for a variety of characteristics in addition to shape. A mark with an uneven shape does not always indicate cancer.
