#6 Somehow everything happens only in one area
A big red flag that you have come in contact with something that is more than just the common cold is realizing that everything seems to be “localizing” in one area of your body. For example, the common cold symptoms will end up manifesting in the whole upper respiratory system, and you will end up having a number of symptoms.
Other illnesses, on the other hand, will only affect one area, and you haven’t just gotten sick and caught a cold.
To give a more specific example, if you end up having strep, you will end up having a sore throat and difficulty swallowing, but you will not end up having any other pain in other places of the body.
Likewise, sinus infections will give you headaches that can even resonate through your teeth, things like mono can give you swollen tonsils, and ear infections can cause your congestion to only manifest in one ear alongside pain in the area.
Don’t just write off everything as a seasonal sickness, especially when you start getting more specific symptoms.
