3. Difficulty Understanding
Although this one is similar to confusion, a person may have a harder time comprehending language, speech, or numbers. When observing your loved one having difficulty understanding, you may notice them shaking their head, saying “no”, wrinkling their eyebrows, talking less, or feeling unsteady.
4. Loss of Balance
Cerebrovascular accidents affect people differently. Some individuals are unable to communicate or speak, but they can walk. On the other hand, a different person having a stroke may be able to speak normally, yet they may experience difficulty walking, standing, or moving at all.
If your loved one is suddenly unable to maintain their balance or walk, seek immediate help.
