Men who are bald have more testosterone
There is a belief that still exists that says that men who go bald have more testosterone than those who don’t. Moreover, it is believed that testosterone itself is the one that causes balding if the person has high levels of it.
The most prevalent type of hair loss in males is male pattern baldness, which is triggered by a mix of your genetics and the influence of a hormone called dihydrotestosterone, or DHT. This hormone is not testosterone. Actually, the body transforms a very small amount of testosterone into DHT.
According to some studies, men who are prone to male pattern baldness are much more sensitive to DHT. It affects their scalp more drastically, but there is no evidence that they have more testosterone than the average.
