5. High cholesterol

The Thyroid hormones are the ones to help remove the surplus amount of cholesterol from the body through the liver. A lower number of these hormones can make the liver’s job more difficult, which will result in higher cholesterol levels.

In conformity with many studies, it has been found that roughly 13% of people who have high cholesterol levels also have an underactive thyroid. It is always good for doctors to perform hypothyroidism tests on people who suffer from high cholesterol.

I would like more articles on Hypothyroidism as I have the disease, and I need to understand the disease better.

  2. My GP had never explained hypothyroid to me. I was losing hair, putting on weight and feeling tired all the time and my GP never suggested it. It was s friend said I might have it so i asked for a test which was positive so I was put on 100g thyroxine . I’m still losing hair and can’t lose weight and am tired all the time. I think I’m tested annually but don’t know why I’m still feeling so awful. Is there any other treatment other than thyroxine,? I’m getting so depressed by this…

  5. These stories ALWAYS disappear in a flurry of ads with no clear path forward just as they reach the potentially useful information. About ready to give up and block them.
