Is there a secret to a longer life? Check out these anti-aging habits!
We might not be able to turn back time, but we can change the effects of time on our bodies with some anti-aging habits. We’ve learned that it’s entirely possible to slow mental AND physical aging.
Studies have shown that people of the same chronological age could have a different “biological age.” In one specific study, almost 1,000 participants of the same age were analyzed for cardiovascular health, cognitive abilities, and other fitness markers at three different age groups: 26, 32, and 38.
Researchers plotted the incline of each person’s biomarkers and discovered that they didn’t all drop at the same rate. Some had no slope whatsoever, meaning they weren’t aging.
And at 38 years old, these participants had biological ages that ranged anywhere from younger than 30 to nearly 60. The good news is that there are many modifiable risk factors. So, there are many ways to increase your likelihood of a longer, healthier life.
Read on to learn about 7 anti-aging habits that will increase your longevity and discover what changes you can make in your life today.
