Dunkin’ Coffee Cake Muffin

For only one muffin, you have 590 calories, 24 g of fat, 65 mg of cholesterol, 370 mg of sodium, 88 g of carbs, and 7 g of protein. As Trista Best, RD at Balance One Supplements added, “not all muffins are the same, and most of them are just loaded with refined carbohydrates, sugar, and fat.”

She also mentioned that there are some types of muffins out there that might help you with your health goals, but this is not the case for the most popular of them.

Refined carbs, which are also known as processed carbs, are grains that have been completely stripped of all their important nutrients, such as fiber, B vitamins, and iron. What’s left of them are only empty calories.

  1. Thank you for educating us with what type of breakfast we should not exact. Can you then advise what type of breakfast is good for commuters to have? Thank you.

  2. I’ve never had any of that stuff, in fact it never entered my mind to try any of that stuff, I’ll just continue with my tea in the morning. Have a nice day.🍀👍🏼🍀

  3. these days all nutritionist people can talk about is calories. I do not need to lose weight but i do have restrictions on saturated fat, salt, sugar and cholesterol as i have cholesterol problems. fast food places are allowed to sell nearly toxic levels of these ingredients and nobody prints health warnings for these. even in your article you don’t tell the saturated fat amounts, all fat is not bad. saturated fat daily limit is about 20g a day, most breakfast foods have more than that and some a lot more than that. if you want to do an article on food , do one that can actually help people. most people eating these terrible biscuits and etc. don’t know how bad these foods are. you have a chance to help , please do.
