#1 Some Medications
Hair loss is a side effect of several drugs used to treat common health disorders, as stated by the American Hair Loss Association.
Blood thinners, oral contraceptives, antidepressants, beta-blockers, and anti-inflammatories (NSAIDS) could all cause hair loss or baldness. Too much vitamin A, as well as vitamin A-based drugs known as retinoids, can cause hair loss. As they attempt to destroy cancer cells, several chemotherapy medications are known to induce complete hair loss.Â
Hair should regrow after stopping any medicine that causes hair loss, just as it does after chemo. But don’t stop taking your meds without first consulting your doctor. Your healthcare professional may instead switch you to a different prescription to see if your hair loss improves.
